A man stepped out of his home during the lockdown on the pretext of buying groceries but got married instead.
Lucknow: A man living in the state of Uttar Pradesh gave his mother a very unpleasant shock during the lockdown. The man went out to buy groceries but returned home with a bride. Furious at the incident, the man's mother took the couple to a police station.

The man's mother said that in the last two months, she did not step out of the house even once but she had to come to the police station because of her son. She also denied having any inclination about her son's intentions.

In the video of the incident, the man's mother can be seen sitting on a chair within the premises of the police station while the bride is standing at a distance.
On being asked about the incident, the man's mother said that he had left the house on the pretext of getting groceries but he brought a wife instead. The woman said that she refused to let the bride enter her home and brought the two of them to the police station.
No document as proof of marriage
The couple does not possess any proof that can substantiate their marriage. The priest who performed the ceremony said that he will be able to issue a certificate after the end of the lockdown.
