Srinagar: Despite people demanding the immediate restoration of 4G internet service in Jammu and Kashmir the telecom operators however have been ordered by the government to increase the 2G speed.

The people were expecting the government may restore 4G service but the authorities on Wednesday asked the telecom operators to enhance the 2G speed to 384 Kbps.

A source in the telecom company told Rising Kashmir that government sent an order to enhance the 2G speed from 360 Kbps to 384 Kbps.

“We did not yet receive any order to restore 4G service. If we receive any government order we will quickly restore the service,” said a source in a telecom company.
